This compact runner bean can easily be grown in larger pots, so even if you have a tiny garden, you can still produce a delicious crop of tasty, stringless pods. It has an excellent resistance to diseases and even the bicoloured blooms are eye-catching.

  • Growing Instructions: Choose a spot in full sun and enrich the soil by digging in plenty of well-rotted organic matter, or fill a large pot with a good, soil-based compost. From late spring sow seeds direct 5cm deep and about 20cm apart. Protect seedlings from slugs and squash blackfly as soon as they appear on shoot tips.

  • Sow: April-June

  • Harvest: July-October

  • Approximate quantity: 45 seeds.
  • Humans/Pets: Raw pods/beans harmful if eaten
