Buddlejas make fabulous additions to a sunny border, with their showy clusters of fragrant flowers, which are a magnet for butterflies and other beneficial insects. The plants in this collection all hold an RHS Award or Garden Merit, so will make excellent additions to the garden.
In each collection you will receive one of each of the following varieties, each in a 9cm pot.
Buddleja davidii 'Black Knight' Produces dense spikes of tiny, fragrant, dark purple flowers against a backdrop of pointed grey-green leaves. Deadheading the buddleja will encourage it to produce more flowers and stop any unwanted seedlings. Grows to 3m.
Buddleja davidii 'Royal Red' Clusters of fragrant, dark red-purple flowers top the gently arching branches from midsummer. This butterfly bush produces some of the largest blooms currently available - often growing up to an impressive 50cm (20in) long. Grows to 3m.
Buddleja davidii 'White Profusion' This elegant white form produces huge clusters of yellow-eyed, white flowers on arching stems from July to September. In autumn the pointed grey-green leaves gently fade to butter-yellow before they are shed. Grows to 3m.
- Garden care: Prune back hard in March, removing all of the previous year's growth to three or four buds.
