A stunning evergreen ornamental shrub prized for its beautiful, large, and deep cerise pink, semi-double blooms that are ruffled and elegantly arranged. With its dense, dark green foliage and strong, upright habit, this acid-soil-loving Camellia cultivar offers a contrasting, eye-catching focal point in a garden setting sheltered from cold winds and early morning sun during the winter. Whether you're looking to add a pop of colour to a shady corner or seeking a hardy, low-maintenance shrub that carries a light scent during the late autumn and winter, 'Kanjiro' is an excellent choice.

  • Garden care: To prevent damage to the emerging buds and flowers protect from cold, dry winds and early morning sun. Water established plants in dry weather to prevent bud drop. Apply a balanced liquid fertiliser in mid-spring and again in June. Top-dress annually with shredded bark or well-rotted leaf mould. After flowering lightly trim or prune any branches that spoil the appearance of the plant. Prefers acidic soil with plenty of organic matter and good drainage.
