This dwarf evergreen clematis produces masses of tiny, primrose yellow flowers in April and May. It's perfect for a large container, supported by trellis or a wigwam of garden canes. On a sunny patio ensure that the roots and delicate, lacy foliage are shaded from the full glare of the sun.

  • Garden care: Cut back in June after flowering to about 50cm (20in) above the base of the plant and apply a slow-release balanced fertiliser and a mulch of well-rotted garden compost.
  • Humans: Skin irritant; Pets: Harmful if eaten
