A lovely, elegant variety bred in continental Europe, producing exquisite smooth pencil pods of dark green, around 15cm long, on bushy, compact plants which need no support through the season. The beans are generously produced, completely stringless and very tender, with a particularly fine flavour: they also freeze very well.
- Growing Instructions:Sow three seeds to a 10cm pot in late spring in a greenhouse or on a sunny windowsill. Pot seedlings on individually as they grow and harden off carefully to plant out once all threat of frost has passed. Later in the season can be sown direct, allowing 20cm between plants: protect against mice and slugs. Start picking when pods are about 10cm long and snap if you bend them. Pick plants over regularly to keep them productive.
- Sow: April to June
- Harvest: July to September
- Approximate quantity: 150 seeds.
