A trio of fully double, pollen-free lilies offering clean, stain-free blooms with impressive shape and strong summer impact. Ideal for borders or containers and perfect for cut flowers without any mess.
In this collection you will receive 1 bulb each of:
Lilium 'Lotus Dream': A striking choice for summer displays, this lily forms strong, upright stems topped with large double blooms in soft rosy pink that fade to a clean white centre. The flowers have layered petals that create a full, rounded shape and carry a noticeable sweet scent. With no pollen, they’re ideal for indoor arrangements and won’t mark furniture or fabrics. Grows to 1m.
Lilium 'Lotus Beauty': Specifically bred to resemble a lotus flower, this elegant lily produces fully double white flowers, which have a smattering of burgundy freckles on their petals. A stunning addition to the summer border, Lilium 'Lotus Beauty' will also do well if planted deeply in a pot. Grows to 1m.
Lilium 'Lotus Elegance': Add a touch of summer sophistication with tall, upright stems topped by large, double blooms in shades of pink, cream and subtle green. Each ruffled petal is layered for a full, sculptural effect, while dark pink speckles add depth and interest. A pollen-free oriental lily, so its extra petals create an uninterrupted floral display without mess. Grows to 1m.
Lilies can be planted at any time from early autumn to mid-spring. Planting in autumn often helps them settle in and become better established before they start to put on their new spring growth, but spring planting is a better option if your soil is heavy and wet during winter.
Choose a sunny spot, preferably where the plant receives a little light shade at its base, and plant each bulb 15-20cm (6-8in) deep in a well-drained soil, enriched with well-rotted organic matter or leaf mould. Space them at 15-30cm (6-12in) intervals and provide support before the flowers appear.
Deadhead the faded blooms promptly and cut the dead stems back to ground level at the end of autumn.
