This compact catmint tends to hold its shape better than most, so it's ideal for smaller spaces, pots or even low, informal hedging. The aromatic, grey-foliage offers the perfect backdrop for its larger than average, nectar-rich flowers, which often appear non-stop throughout the summer. Not only does it look great, it's also loved by bees and other beneficial insects. - Garden care: If cut back after the initial flowers have faded, this nepeta will usually go on to produce more. Lift and divide large clumps in spring, replanting divided specimens with lots of well-rotted organic matter. If powdery mildew becomes a problem prune out the affected areas.
