In each collection you will receive the following:

    10 × Tulipa 'Paul Scherer'
Tulip breeders have been trying for years to create a variety that produces a near-black flower on a tall stem - and here it is! The blooms are large, oval, almost egg-shaped, and sit on top of a sturdy stem in late spring. Plant in bold drifts for big impact, or tone it down with silvers and pinks. This variety has been the prestigious Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society.Grows to 50cm tall.

    10 × Tulipa 'Antraciet'
Huge double flowers that have loads of petals that make this tulip look more like a peony. Before they open, the buds are a very dark red, but once the flower emerges it turns a more purplish-red colour. This tulip, with its super-sized flowers really packs a punch.Grows to 40cm tall.

    10 × Tulipa 'Asahi'
Classic egg-shaped blooms open to form generous cups of colour, with hints of red, magenta, orange and yellow all blended into one. This means it can be used to partner solid blocks of any of those shades, but it will also look stunning with richer purples and near black - or even with its polar opposite on the colour wheel, blue. Grows to 50cm tall.

  • Garden care: From August to November plant the bulbs 10-15cm deep and 10-15cm apart in a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil. While actively growing, keep them moderately well watered and remove the flowers after they have faded. At that stage a balanced liquid fertiliser can be applied each week for 4 weeks before they die down.
  • Harmful if eaten/may cause skin allergy
