Vintage tulip collection

In each collection you will receive the following:

  • 5 × Tulipa 'Green Wave': From rounded buds, fringed and ruffled petals unfurl to form elegant and intriguing flowers that make spectacular additions to arrangements when cut. Shades of blush and lipstick pink mix easily with green, and when teamed with dark plum anthers, which only become visible once the flower is fully open, it becomes a truly winning combination. Grows to 50cm.

  • 5 × Tulipa 'Libretto Parrot': Firm favourites of the florists, this stunning parrot tulip produces larger than average, ruffled flowers that are a gentle (and irregular) blend of creamy white, pink and green. Usually appearing in late spring, the flowers tend to turn pinker as they mature - and they will last well when cut for the vase if kept in a cool room. Grows to 40cm.

  • 7 × Tulipa 'Exotic Emperor': These large, beautifully shaped flowers really look great when planted in bold clumps. The flowers emerge from somewhat twisted green buds (which have a charm all of their own) to reveal lots of green-flushed, creamy yellow-coloured petals. Choose this one if you want early double flowers, which will help extend the bedding display. Grows to 55cm.

  • Garden care: From August to November plant the bulbs 10-15cm deep and 10-15cm apart in a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil. While actively growing, keep them moderately well watered and remove the flowers after they have faded. At that stage a balanced liquid fertiliser can be applied each week for 4 weeks before they die down.
    • Humans: Harmful if eaten; skin allergen; Pets: Ornamental bulbs - not to be eaten
