This 18gsm BioFleece® is a great lightweight fleece made purely from plants. Used early in spring, the snug insulating layer will help seedlings get off and growing in cooler weather. Later in the season you can use it to protect plants from ground frosts.

The fleece will protect plants in temperatures as low as -1°C. You can cut it to the size and shape you need with scissors, and it’s nice and light so it can be laid directly over plants or supported on hoops and frame supports.

The fleece will last you at least two seasons and is 100% biodegradable so you can throw it on the compost heap to feed your plants at the end of its useful life.

How to use:

Suitable for year-round use, though frost protection is mostly needed from October to April. Either lay the fleece directly over plants or over hoops or another supporting structure. Secure the edges to the ground with pegs or stones, and remove the netting to water and feed. If using on fruits and vegetables which require pollination, remove the fleece during the day whilst in flower to allow bees to visit.
