This relatively new cultivar is a prolific bloomer, and it produces its whopping (up to 7cm across), flat-faced flowers from late winter to mid-spring. It looks great when planted in random drifts beneath the canopy of existing trees and shrubs, or when used to line a partially shaded pathway. - Garden care: Add lots of well-rotted leaf mould or organic matter to the planting hole. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted organic matter around the base of the plant in autumn and provide a top-dressing of general fertiliser each spring.
- Humans/Pets: Harmful if eaten; skin irritant
