'White Lips' is a clump-forming semi-evergreen perennial with long, glossy green, deeply cut basal leaves. Imposing in stature, this bear’s breeches has tall, spiny spikes of white flowers with purple hoods that are produced from early to late summer and last for several weeks. Plant these stately looking perennials within a cottage garden or relaxed planting scheme.

  • Garden care: Plant 'White Lips' incorporating well-rotted compost into the planting hole. To minimise the risk of powdery mildew taking hold ensure that the plant is watered well during hot, dry spells. Once established, rejuvenate and minimise congestion by lifting and dividing large clumps in or spring.
