The foliage of this compact new form is truly extraordinary! Each spring it emerges a bright pinkish red before taking on a softer hue when hints of green and cream become more apparent. As they age the leaves turn a rich green with irregular creamy streaks, and then they change once again, taking on fiery autumnal tones before being shed. If you like to add bright splashes of colour to your patio or border, then this one is hard to beat! - Garden care: Add a top-dressing of a multi-purpose fertiliser around the base of a newly planted tree in late spring and keep well watered. No routine pruning is required, just remove any dead, damaged or crossing branches in late autumn or winter when they are fully dormant.
