A long-blooming Euphorbia with dark green foliage and upright stems that emerge a dark burgundy becoming more intense with lower temperatures in the spring. Bright lime-yellow flowers contrast beautifully with the dark foliage that is both drought and heat tolerant once established. Resistant to deer and many diseases that affect other euphorbias, ‘Miners Merlot’ is a great addition to any water-wise or Mediterranean style garden borders.

Please note that the pot in the photograph is not supplied with the plant (which is sent out in a simple nursery alternative), but we have a wide and wonderful range on our website to choose from.

  • Garden care: Cut back the faded flower stems when they start to die back. When working with spurges, always wear gloves since the milky sap is poisonous and a potential skin irritant. Remove unwanted seedlings each spring as part of routine border maintenance.
  • Humans/Pets: IRRITANT to skin/eye; harmful if eaten
