Slender upright stems are topped with exquisite purple-blue flowers, each with a contrasting yellow splash. Sought after by florists, they will last well after being cut for the vase, but in the border, they offer invaluable colour, which bridges the gap between spring and summer. - Garden care: Plant 10cm deep and 10cm apart in naturalistic drifts in September or October in a well-drained, sunny site.
