Outstandingly exquisite, 'Licilia Red' resemble snapdragons and are a perfect choice to adorn and invigorate your summer arrangements either in the border or in a vase as cut flowers. Their elongated and graceful stems topped with deep red blooms make them a delight to arrange inside or out. Quick to flower when grown from seed (around 6 weeks) these hardy annuals are a simple, yet rewarding garden investment.
Sow seeds shallowly in pots filled with a good seed compost in early spring and keep in a cold frame until they germinate. Pot on when they are large enough to handle and gradually harden off before planting them out at 30cm intervals, taking care not to damage their roots. Leave a few of the faded flower spikes on the plants as this will encourage them to self-seed.
