As you might expect from a plant called 'Minor', this is a really compact form - but it is no less decorative because of its size! An evergreen thyme, the foliage is a rich grey-green, and in the summer, it is smothered with tiny purplish ink flowers, which appear in such great numbers that they can almost create a solid block of colour. It's neat, creeping habit, makes it ideal for an alpine trough, or lining the edges of a path. - Garden care: After flowering cut back hard using garden shears to retain a neat compact shape. Lift and divide large clumps in early spring
