Uplift your spring garden with the vibrant hues of the Venetian Sky tulip collection. Large, cerise pink blooms with warm apricot and pinkish-red undertones unfurl into generous bowls of ruffled petals. Contrasting rich, deep maroon-purple flowers emerge, adorned with lovely coloured veining and silky, rounded petals with a smoky sheen, like fine Italian silk. All varieties bloom late in the season, and are inspired by a Venetian sunset. These tulips are ideal for drifts in the garden or cut flower arrangements.

In each collection you will receive the following:

  • 10 × Tulipa 'Ridgedale': Large, cerise pink flowers that have a warm apricot undertone open to form generous bowls of gently ruffled petals. A stunning late-flowering tulip, you'll want to plant this in generous drifts so you have some extras for the vase. Grows to 35cm.

  • 10 × Tulipa 'Ronaldo': Rich, deep maroon-purple petals with lovely coloured veining make this a spectacular tulip for spring bedding displays. The petals have a rounded shape with pointed tips and have a smoky sheen and silky texture. Grows to 40cm.

  • 10 × Tulipa 'Salmon Van Eijk': Topping tall and sturdy stems, exceptionally large, goblet-shaped flowers, which are a subtle blend of pink and apricot, create a lavish display in bedding schemes in mid- to late spring. Plant generously, so you have spares for the vase. Grows to 55cm.

5 × Tulipa 'Slawa' (PBR): The petals on this stunning triumph tulip are a deep wine red but each has a broad orange edge which turns a pinkish-apricot as the slender flowers mature. Topping sturdy stems they make an elegant and eye-catching addition to the seasonal border display. Grows to 50cm.

  • Garden care:
From August to November plant the bulbs 10-15cm deep and 10-15cm apart in a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil. While actively growing, keep them moderately well watered and remove the flowers after they have faded. At that stage a balanced liquid fertiliser can be applied each week for 4 weeks before they die down.
    • Humans: Harmful if eaten; skin allergen; Pets: Ornamental bulbs - not to be eaten
