Resplendent summer globes top the upright stems of this showy, summer-flowering perennial. Each flowerhead is made up of rich blue trumpet-shaped flowers, which after they fade, are replaced with decorative seedheads that will last well into autumn. This sun-loving perennial will look great on the patio, particularly when potted up into their new home. Currently in a 2lt pot, they will arrive with a hand-thrown flared rim terracotta pot, which measures 40 x 40cm, so gives them ample room to grow on and fill out. the potting compost is not supplied, but a loam-based compost such as John Innes No. 3 is recommended. - Garden care: Keep the plant well-watered during the growing season and applying a balanced liquid fertiliser each month from spring until the plant flowers. In winter move the pot to a sheltered, frost-free place.
