As a rule, most of us will spend more time in the garden during the summer months, so if you feel that your border could do with some extra colour at this time of the year, then this may well be the one for you.

Planting tip: A newly planted border of herbaceous perennials can look a bit sparse until the plants start to fill out. You can overcome this by adding temporary seasonal bedding to add extra colour and interest during the first couple of seasons.
