Transport your spring garden to a bygone era with the Antique Lace collection of peony-flowered tulips. These delightful double-blooming tulips unfurl like antique lace fans, revealing layer upon layer of softly diffused colour. 'Charming Beauty' blooms first with generous golden-apricot flowers, many edged with a hint of green. As spring progresses, 'La Belle Époque' opens its many-petalled blooms in a unique pinkish-apricot colour that lightens towards the edges. Both varieties bloom late in the season and are ideal for containers or cut flower displays.

In each collection you will receive the following:

  • 7 × Tulipa 'Charming Beauty': Charming by name and charming by nature, the paeony-like flowers of this double-late tulip form generous golden-apricot bowls, many of which have just a hint of green on their outer edges. It's an excellent choice for the home florist, and it can be grown in patio pots where space is at a premium. Grows to 45cm.

  • 5 × Tulipa 'La Belle Époque': Large, many-petalled flowers appear in late spring or early summer. Their unique colouring (pinkish-apricot becoming paler towards the outer edges of the petals), blends well with deeper pinks and shades of purple. Often called peony-flowered tulips, these beautiful blooms also make great cut flowers. Grows to 45cm.

  • Garden care:
From August to November plant the bulbs 10-15cm deep and 10-15cm apart in a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil. While actively growing, keep them moderately well watered and remove the flowers after they have faded. At that stage a balanced liquid fertiliser can be applied each week for 4 weeks before they die down.
    • Humans: Harmful if eaten; skin allergen; Pets: Ornamental bulbs - not to be eaten
