‘Mr Morse’ is a wonderful clump-forming ground-covering plant for cool, reliably moist spots in the garden, which sends up a froth of elegant, pure white flowers on narrow stems in early spring. The heart-shaped leaves of this Siberian blugloss are veined with silver exactly like the more familiar Brunnera ‘Jack Frost’, but with white forget-me-not like flowers instead of blue. This gorgeous groundcover plant is perfect for the front of a cool border, edging a woodland path, or lighting up moist, shady areas under the canopy of deciduous trees alongside ferns, hostas and primulas.

  • Garden care: Cut back to the base of the plant any stems with leaves that revert to plain green. Lift and divide the plant every two or three years in late autumn.
