Only recently introduced, this late flowering shrub is already in demand for its handsomely variegated, aromatic foliage and clusters of mid-blue flowers, which form in tiers along the length of the stems from late summer. Becoming drought tolerant once established, it will also thrive in coastal conditions.

  • Garden care: In March prune all of the flowered stems back hard to the permanent framework. After pruning apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted garden compost around the base of the plant.
