This robust, compact, and deciduous climber would suit a large pot where it could scramble up a small obelisk, or in open ground, weaving its way through a nearby evergreen shrub.
Adorned with dark green leaves, it features small, single, satin-textured white flowers, around 8cm (3in) in diameter, donning wavy margins and creamy-white stamens on lengthy stalks, blooming from late spring to early summer.
Just remember to avoid planting in frost pockets or exposed locations to shield its precious buds from early cold snaps, and it will reward you with an enchanting, long-lasting display.
