Coprosma Lemon and Lime (PBR)
- in stock
- 2 litre pot
- Standard £4.95
- Next / named day £7.95
This shrub is semi-evergreen, so it can lose some of its leaves in winter. In colder regions or more exposed gardens, it may lose them all, but then fresh new foliage appears again in spring.
- Position: full sun or partial shade
- Soil: neutral to slightly-acid, moderately-fertile, moist, well-drained soil
- Rate of growth: average
- Hardiness: borderline hardy (may need winter protection)
The yellow and lime-green foliage of this evergreen shrub really looks fresh and eye-catching in the border during the summer, but it becomes even more interesting in winter when it takes on an orange flush. Low growing and bushy, it can also be grown in a pot.
- Garden care: In spring, lightly trim any branches that spoil the symmetry of the plant. Afterwards apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted leaf mould or composted pine needles around the base of the plant. In colder regions it will need protection during the winter.
