This rounded, compact, elegant small tree has a graceful, well-rounded form with dense branches adorned with thorns and glossy, leathery, oval-shaped leaves. During mid-summer, clusters of white flowers emerge, giving way to vibrant orange-red haws that persist throughout the winter season. 'Carrierei' is undemanding in its requirements, thriving in various environments including coastal, exposed, polluted, and damp locations. Furthermore, it is popular with wildlife. Colourful autumn hues and appealing exfoliating bark add additional interest to a great all-rounder.
