This striking evergreen tropical sub-shrub produces an abundance of fiery orange and yellow, cigar-shaped flowers from late spring to the first frost, creating a bold display in sunny borders and containers.
The blooms, adorned with protruding white stamens, are rich in nectar and attract butterflies and pollinators throughout the season.
Cuphea ignea 'Victores' has a bushy, rounded habit with dense, lance-shaped dark green foliage, making it an excellent foil amongst other hot coloured bedding displays. Easy to grow and disease-resistant, this cultivar thrives in sheltered, warm spots and offers vibrant, long-lasting colour throughout the summer.

No deadheading is necessary, but it will perform best with regular feeding. Move plants to a greenhouse or conservatory to overwinter, and in spring, cut back the flowered stems to within 2cm of the previous years growth before moving it back outside after all risk of frost has passed.
