Cyclamen ‘Verano Pure White’ is a welcome addition to a sheltered garden in winter, these cyclamen can be planted into pots, windowboxes, hanging baskets or border edges to add form and contrast during the darker months of the year.

Often producing their pure white flowers over several months, these cyclamen can also be used as cool season houseplants, popped on a bright shelf or windowsill well away from hot or drying locations.

Please note that the pot in the photograph is not supplied with the plant (which is sent out in a simple nursery alternative), but we have a wide and wonderful range on our website to choose from.

  • Garden care:
Cyclamen thrive in well-draining, organic-rich potting compost or soil, with bright, indirect light, avoiding direct sunlight that can scorch leaves. These plants prefer cool conditions, ideally between 60-65°F (15-18°C), and can tolerate temperatures down to 40°F (4°C), but should be protected from frost.

Water your cyclamen when the top of the soil feels dry, watering individual pots from the bottom or around the edges to avoid wetting the crown. Never leave the pot sitting in water to prevent root rot. These plants appreciate higher humidity, so consider placing them on a pebble tray with water.

Cyclamen are sensitive to overwatering, so it's better to slightly underwater than overwater. During the growing season, feed every month with a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser.

Gently removing spent flowers and their stems from the base, as well as any yellowing leaves. While the plant can be kept after flowering, it is often best used as a colourful seasonal annual or winter gift as it prefers a period of dormancy during the late spring and summer.
