Dutch irises are one of the most widely grown types of iris in the world. That's because not only do they make handsome additions to the garden, but they're also really popular as cut flowers. They look wonderful when planted in drifts through the border, or when allowed to form larger clumps in naturalised planting schemes. They're also perfect for slipping in between herbaceous perennials, where in late spring or early summer, each upright stem will produce a short succession of flowers.
In each collection you will receive the following:
- 20 × Iris 'White Van Vilet': Impressive flowers, with glowing white (occasionally with a hint of silvery blue) standards, that rise above the broader, yellow-daubed falls. Grows to 55cm.
- 20 × Iris 'Purple Sensation': Sought after for their sumptuous flowers, which appear during the hiatus in colour between spring and summer, these hardy and undemanding iris are perfect for keeping the eye firmly fixed on the border. Grows to 60cm.
- 20 × Iris 'Symphony': Robust and reliable, these iris stand up well to low temperatures and come back year after year. Their fresh, yellow and white flowers are perfect for filling the gap between the last of the tulips and the start of the summer perennials. Grows to 55cm.
