Bright tangerine-orange flowers with scalloped petals appear in abundance from late spring to autumn, creating months of vibrant colour. Held on airy, fuzzy stems, the blooms rise above a clump of mid-green, scalloped foliage that adds texture to borders.

Geum 'Totally Tangerine' is a sterile cultivar, so it won’t self-seed, making it easy to maintain though regular deadheading still encourages fresh blooms, ensuring a long display.

Reaching up to 90cm (3ft), it’s perfect for sunny borders, cottage gardens, and wildlife-friendly planting schemes, thriving in free-draining soil. This reliable perennial adds movement and warmth to mixed beds and pairs beautifully with ornamental grasses.

  • Garden care:
Plant 30-45cm (12-18in) apart in moderately fertile, moist, but well-drained soil, incorporating compost to improve drainage and fertility.

Keep well watered and remove tatty foliage in autumn. Lift and divide clumps every couple of years in early autumn and replant with the crown just above the surface of the soil. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted organic matter around the crown of the plant in spring.
