Unlike the species, this realtively new Ginkgo has a slender silhouette, which makes it ideal for smaller gardens. An unusual conifer, the decorative fan-shaped foliage of 'Fastigiata Blagon' is a bright, almost emerald green, which takes on butter-yellow tones before being shed in the autumn. A sterile cultivar, its columnar habit and slow growth rate, make it a great candidate for larger pots or specimen planting. - Garden care: Requires minimal pruning. Remove any broken, diseased or crossing branches in late autumn or winter. When planting incorporate lots of well-rotted garden compost in the planting hole and stake firmly.
