Bursting into bloom in July, these gorgeously ruffled, bright coral pink flowers, each have a fine picotee margin, and a matching flush of strawberry red towards their beaming yellow-green throat. Their appearance is a sure sign that summer has finally found its flouncy, flamboyant frilly feet! What about Achillea 'Terracotta' or Achillea 'Moonshine' as a dancing partner?

  • Garden care: Plant crowns at 60cm intervals in a sunny spot, making sure that their roots are firmed in, but their crowns are above soil level - then water well. Apply a generous 5-7cm deep mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant (avoiding the immediate crown), and once the plant has started to bloom, deadhead faded flowers regularly to encourage more to form. Lift and divide every three years in spring.
  • Cats: TOXIC if eaten
