Colurful and easy to grow in sunny spots, this ground-covering perennial is suitable for pots, rockeries and borders. The variegated foliage has a rich red colouring, which really catches the eye, so it's great if you are looking for a contrast colour that will break up a sea of green. Forming a low, bushy dome, it is topped with sprays of deep red flowers towards the end of summer and into autumn. It's ideal for adding a vibrant splash of late colour. - Garden care: Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant. Water moderately when actively growing and avoid winter wet.
