Flowering for long periods between June and September, ‘Stella’ is a small semi-evergreen shrub with delicately scented, yellow flowers, followed by glossy, black berries that persist throughout autumn and winter. Once established, this elegant, Mediterranean shrub becomes dome-shaped and is considered to be drought-tolerant.

  • Garden care: Incorporate some well-rotted organic matter into the planting hole when planting and add a scoop of mycorrhizal fungi. Mulch around the base of the plant in autumn to protect the roots from hard winter frosts. Once established, prune for form just after it has finished flowering.
