Chunky ‘corn-like’ purple-blue flowerheads erupt into slender, pink petals like butterfly wings, fluttering above the linear, highly aromatic, grey-green leaves. A wonderfully compact lavender, the flower spikes of ‘Losi Pink’ are popular with bees and other nectar-loving insects, flowering earlier in the season than its English cousins. Wonderful when planted en masse in a protected, sunny border or, in colder regions, grown in pots to be easily transported to a cool greenhouse or conservatory during the winter.

  • Garden care: Keep plants compact by cutting back the spent flower stalks after they have faded. Then, in April, trim back again, taking care not to cut into the old wood.
