This gorgeous, low-growing phlox, forms a dense, cushion-like mound of slender, semi-evergreen, foliage, which in late spring and early summer, is smothered in purple-eyed, white (or occasionally blush pink) flowers. It looks great when allowed to meander through an alpine bed or rockery, but it's also ideal for filling gaps at the front of a sunny border. In very small gardens, it can be potted up for the balcony, windowsill or patio. - Garden care: Give it a trim after the flowers have faded and lift and divide over-large clumps in autumn.
