A vigorous and showy water buttercup ideal for planting at the margins of large ponds or stretches of slow-moving water. The plant produces a mass of large, yellow, buttercup-like flowers in early summer on branched, blue-green stems. Since 'Grandiflorus' can be invasive it's not recommended for small ponds or streams connected to natural water courses.

  • Garden care:
Grow in boggy soil, still or slow moving water up to 15-22cm (6-9”) deep. Cut back after flowering. Lift and divide large clumps in early spring before the plant has flowered. To limit the plant's spread restrict it in an aquatic plant basket and remove unwanted growth in early spring before flowering.
    • Humans/Pets: Harmful if eaten; skin irritant
