Introduced from China by plantsman Dan Hinkley, this burnet has rich, burgundy coloured, bobble-like flowers held on elegant wiry stems from September to November. ‘Cangshan Cranberry’ is a tall, herbaceous perennial for the back of a border, which will bloom consistently throughout the autumn season. The spent 'drumstick' flower heads and stems can add interest in winter. - Garden care: Cut back the foliage when it dies back and is no longer attractive in autumn or winter. Once established, divide overly large clumps in spring.
