Glowing white star-shaped flowers form in loose clusters amongst the slender foliage in early spring. A wonderful addition to pots or windowboxes, it will also flourish in rockeries, gravel gardens or borders. Although it's happiest in a sunny spot, it could also be used to underplant deciduous trees or shrubs, where it will receive all the sun it needs in early spring.

  • Garden care: Plant bulbs 8-10cm deep and 8-10cm apart in autumn, in clumps or naturalistic drifts where they can remain undisturbed for several years.
  • Harmful if eaten
