A beautiful, compact, clump-forming perennial with dainty, fluffy, mauve-pink flower clusters suspended above delicate lace-like foliage in mid-summer. ‘Fairy Wings’ is a great companion for larger leaved plants such as Rodgersia, Hosta, and Ligularia, where its 'sprite-ly' flowering heads can complement a reliably moist site. - Garden care: When planting 'Fairy Wings' incorporate some well-rotted compost or manure into the planting hole. A more compact form, this thalictrum benefits staking on windy sites. Stake using plant supports made from natural materials (e.g. hazel or birch) before the flowers appear. Cut back the stems after flowering. Add a generous 5-7cm mulch of organic matter around the base of the plant in spring. Once established, lift and divide congested plants in spring.
