A charming evergreen shrubby Veronica that adds a delicate splash of colour to any garden. This compact, rounded shrub boasts bright green foliage year-round, adorned with lilac flowers that transition to light blue in summer with the possibility of a second bloom later in the season. 'Margret' has a low-maintenance nature, and whether in containers or as ground cover in borders, this ‘hebe’ is a versatile and attractive addition. Its neat, compact growth habit and glossy deep green leaves create an elegant backdrop for the profusion of nectar-rich blooms, which not only offer visual appeal but also attract a variety of beneficial insects.

  • Garden care:
Veronicas (or hebes) need free-draining, neutral to alkaline soil, so before planting, dig in lots of organic matter to improve the soil condition and drainage. Water newly planted hebes regularly for the first season, especially in warm, dry weather. Once planted, this hebe requires minimal pruning, but remove misplaced or frost-damaged branches in late spring. Protect from severe winter weather with a double layer of horticultural fleece.
