Eucalyptus are grown for their fab evergreen foliage, which is a soft grey-green and is often used by florists. This new form has been found to be much hardier than the others, and has been known to withstand temperatures as low as -20C. It also differs from its close relatives in that it is more compact and shrubby, although with careful pruning, it can be trained to have a tree-like silhouette.
