These elegant and sturdy supports are ideal for keeping your tall herbaceous plants in check. Perfect for cottage garden favourites like peonies, delphiniums, lupins and cosmos.

Handmade from 10mm solid steel rod with support rings, they’re brilliant for shoring up plants that are prone to flopping. The flared shape lets plants sway without snapping in strong winds and stops them collapsing under heavy downpours.

Once plants are established they’ll largely hide the support so it’ll blend into the border quite unobtrusively. The steel is left untreated and will develop an even layer of rust within a couple of weeks of being placed outside. You can speed this up with a spray of vinegar. Do be careful when handling or brushing past, as the rust may leave a slight orange residue if touched.

Please note: the height given is the total height; the supports will stand approximately 20cm shorter with feet sunk all the way into the soil.
