Hand-turned in Shropshire from beech wood, this seed chute is a useful companion for sowing fiddly little seeds.

Load them into the chute and rub it with the stick to make it vibrate, creating an even trickle of seeds rather than a deluge. Brilliant for reducing seed waste and saving yourself the time and trouble of thinning out seedlings later on.

How to use:

1. Prepare your seed trays or sowing area.
2. Holding the seed chute horizontally, fill it with seed.
3. Pick up the stick with your other hand, holding the ball end.
4. Keeping the seed chute level, run the stick up and down the grooves on the underside to vibrate the seeds.
5. Control the flow by gradually tipping the seed chute forward. Using the stick closer to the tip of the chute will increase vibrations and speed up the flow.
