This hefty nest box has been specially designed to give birds enhanced protection from predators. Built from WoodStone®, a mix of concrete and FSC wood fibres, it’s a tougher and heavier proposition than standard timber boxes.

The thick skin gives woodpeckers and other large birds, as well as cats and squirrels, a much harder time trying to get inside. It also insulates the nest to create a more consistent internal temperature than a wooden box. This is a huge help for birds incubating in the breeding season, and provides a safe warm shelter in the colder months.

The 32mm entrance hole is suitable for a range of garden species including nuthatches, great tits, pied flycatchers and sparrows.
