‘Mr Morse’ is a wonderful clump-forming ground-covering plant for cool, reliably moist spots in the garden, which sends up a froth of elegant, pure white flowers on narrow stems in early spring. The heart-shaped leaves of this Siberian blugloss are veined with silver exactly like the more familiar Brunnera ‘Jack Frost’, but with white forget-me-not like flowers instead of blue.

This gorgeous groundcover plant is perfect for the front of a cool border, edging a woodland path, or lighting up moist, shady areas under the canopy of deciduous trees alongside ferns, hostas and primulas.

  • Garden care:
Incorporate a generous amount of composted organic matter or well-rotted manure into the backfill during planting, but choose a shady spot to preserve the vibrant foliage.

Water newly planted perennials regularly for their first year to encourage successful establishment, providing extra water during long dry spells.

Apply a mulch of garden compost or well-rotted manure to the soil surface annually in spring to enrich the soil. Remove spent flower spikes after the last bloom has faded.

Once established and if desired, lift and divide the plant every two or three years in late autumn.
