A handsome, and sought after little conifer that offers year round interest with its dense, columnar habit. The foliage is densely-packed and ranges in colour from grey-green to blue-green, so it offers an accent colour as well as its structural form. Chamaecyparis lawsoniana Ellwood's Pillar looks great in a pot when placed either side of a doorway, but if planted in the border, team it with either ground-covering or mound-forming plants to add visual interest.
