Anemone coronaria Saint Bridgid Group Mixed produces a myriad of splendid, semi-double or double flowers in deep red, blue, violet and white.
Appearing from March to April amongst fresh green, parsley-like leaves, these jewel-like anemones are ideal for providing early spring colour for a sheltered, sunny site.

Soak the tubers overnight in cool water and plant them in naturalistic drifts (it doesn't matter which way up) 5cm deep and 15cm apart from September to November, or (for later flowers in spring), February to April.
Ideally you should choose a spot where they can be left undisturbed so they can naturalise and spread. Avoid excessively wet conditions when dormant.
