Lush-looking foliage and amazing waxy-looking, red heart-shaped flowers, each with a yellow 'tail'. Flamingo flowers are relatively easy and reliable - and great if you want to add some colour to a bright room or conservatory.
Please note that the plant comes in a 14cm nursery pot as standard, unless a decorative pot cover is included as an option.

Flamingo flowers prefer bright, indirect light and consistently warm, humid conditions. Water well during spring and summer, allowing the top layer of compost to dry slightly between waterings, and reduce watering in winter.
Mist the leaves regularly to boost humidity, especially in centrally heated rooms, and occasionally rinse the foliage under a lukewarm shower to remove dust. Keep away from cold draughts and ensure temperatures stay above 15°C (59°F) year-round. Use a free-draining houseplant compost, and repot every two years or when roots become congested.
Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
