A petite evergreen tropical shrub renowned for its striking allure as a houseplant. Its elongated ovate leaves, up to 22cm (9in) in length, exhibit a striking dark green hue intricately veined with prominent white lines, evoking an elegant zebra-like pattern. While occasionally producing terminal spikes of waxy-yellow flowers that last for approximately six weeks, it's the captivating foliage that truly distinguishes this plant. Aphelandra squarrosa is a splendid, non-toxic ornamental addition to a jungle-themed conservatory or any warm, well lit and humid interior space.
Please note that the plant comes in a 13cm nursery pot as standard, unless a decorative pot cover is included as an option.
